The main goal for the home page redesign project was to build the foundation for personalization in the home view for both iPhone and Android apps.

Grainger iPhone and Android app home views were missing the opportunity to streamline customer workflows by only displaying search and product categories.

During the initial stages, I looked at past research and analytical data to identify important features for customers, and worked closely with product owners to define business requirements and timelines.

In addition, I led customer research with customers leveraging card sorting, provided guidance to a junior researcher, and developed testing plans. I also created a prototype and finalized the design based on research results. I collaborated with the visual designer and developers to refine detailed animations and interactions.
